North American Tour
March 24, 2017
Scottish trio Biffy Clyro announced a North American tour in support of their current album Ellipsis. The tour kicks off in Las Vegas on March 24th and hits major cities in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up in Washington, DC on April 15th, with support from O’Brother.
Over the summer, Biffy Clyro performed headline sets at the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK. Click here to view footage of “Rearrange,” the incendiary set opener and their most recent single, here to view “Wolves Of Winter,” and here to view “Howl”. The Guardia raved, “Triumphant set from champions of stadium rock,” while NME wrote, “The sky seems to explode with fireworks; just when you think it’s over, it keeps on going.”
Released by Warner Bros. Records/14th Floor Recordings in July, Ellipsis went straight to number one in the UK album chart and was also number one in Switzerland, Germany and Ireland. It remained in the U.K. Top 40 for 11 weeks before claiming the top spot on the album chart, making it Biffy Clyro’s second No. 1 album after 2013’s Opposites. Magnet magazine called Ellipsis, “blistering hard melodic rock with a touch of ’90s alternative and a quick taste of sweet-tart pop,” while LoudWire called it, “the jumping off point for even more of an evolution.”
