Iron Maiden has just hit the road on the North American 2022 leg of their Legacy of the Beast tour. Sharing a name with the band’s popular mobile phone game, the show features hits from all eras of the band’s career. This is a continuation of their 2019 tour, but they are hitting different cities and venues this time around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the time since the 2019 leg of the tour, Iron Maiden has released their seventeenth studio album, Senjutsu<\/em>. Fittingly, they’ll be featuring a couple of songs from the well-received album into the setlist. Iron Maiden manager Ron Smallwood promises “You can be sure that we will still be featuring all the ‘hits’ and the key elements of the original tour like the Spitfire, Icarus, Hell, flamethrowers and pyro and the rest \u2013 but we will shake it up a bit and Trooper Eddie will have serious competition in the new Senjutsu<\/em> ‘world’ we are adding.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very lucky to still have Iron Maiden dominating stages more than 40 years into their career. When we saw frontman Bruce Dickinson’s spoken word tour<\/a> earlier this year, during his Q&A, someone asked if he thinks about retirement. Very bluntly, he said “Fuck no, next question.” That said, if you missed the first leg of this tour in 2019, you do not want to miss it again! The full list of dates can be found below. The September dates will feature Florida metal band Trivium as special guests, while the October dates will feature the Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. We’ll be on hand at the show in Worcester, MA on October 17, their first show in Worcester in nearly 20 years! We’ll have a full review with our thoughts to come soon after the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
