California punk rock band Starcrawler took Brighton Music Hall by storm on Monday night, supporting their latest album She Said<\/em>. Joining the wild bunch on stage was Massachusetts’ own Exit 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All dressed up in pink and black suits, the band took their spots as explosive frontwoman Arrow De Wilde erupted onto the stage. Kicking off with “Goodtime Girl,” Starcrawler’s aggressive energy flooded the entire room, with everyone in the band encouraging fans to come even closer to the barricade. They furiously plowed through some of their earlier tracks, like the rock and roll fueled “I Love LA”, as well as a cover of the Ramones’ “Pet Sematary,” one of the highlights of the set. The crowd was lit up, with a group of fans moshing in front of the stage, promptly acknowledged by De Wilde; she constantly got close to the edge of the barricade, pointing out specific people in the audience. The towering lead singer is the definition of a rockstar: wild and dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band played their latest album in its entirety, a mix of rock and punk with some quieter moments sprinkled in. Some audience members took out their lighters and held them up, old school. After a wild medley of “Different Angles” and “Train,” the band took the stage once again for the encore with “She Gets Around,” and the anthemic “Chicken Woman,” bringing the show to an anti-climatic close. De Wilde abruptly exited the stage, and the band continued on with the hectic ending of the song, and even a fan went up and played guitar. Immediately after wrapping up, guitarist Henri Cash jumped off the stage and ran across the room towards the merch table, where he greeted fans.
