On April 18th, The Maine brought their I Love You But\u2026 I Chose The Maine<\/em> tour to Citizens House of Blues Boston, turning a rainy Boston night into a high energy singalong. With support from Broadside, Nightly and Grayscale, the show flowed steadily, each set adding a new layer of engird that carried throughout the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broadside kicked things off with a nostalgic pop punk set that immediately got the crowd moving. Nightly followed, shifting the tone with their polished indie pop sound and atmospheric moments that added a sense of depth to the night. Grayscale then took the stage with a slightly heavier, more emotional edge, building momentum and setting the perfect stage for the headliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time The Maine came on, the room was buzzing. From the opening notes of \u201cAnother Night on Mars\u201d to fan favorites like \u201cBlack Butterflies and D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu,\u201d the band delivered a set packed with both longtime staples and newer tracks. Frontman John O\u2019Callaghan stood out for his effortless connection with the audience, balancing humor and gratitude in a way that made the packed venue feel intimate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the night wasn\u2019t just the performance, it was the connection between the band and the crowd. From start to finish, the audience was shouting every lyric back.
