On April 1st, I had the opportunity to catch Halestorm at The Reading Eagle Theater in Reading, PA. It was certainly one hell of a night, and Halestorm really brought the storm to the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lita Ford<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The fans pressed their bodies against the barricade, chattering excitedly as the crew began to set up for Rock n Roll legend and formerly of The Runaways, Lita Ford. It wasn\u2019t too long before Lita made her appearance on the stage and immediately kicked off her set setlist consisting of \u201cGotta Let Go,\u201d \u201cLarger Than Life,\u201d a kick ass cover of Elton John\u2019s \u201cThe Bitch is Back,\u201d and \u201cBlueberry.\u201d The crowd sang along and threw their horns in the air as Lita continued her set with \u201cLiving Like a Runaway,\u201d \u201cCan\u2019t Catch Me,\u201d and The Runaways\u2019 hit, \u201cCherry Bomb\u201d. After the killer drum solo by Bobby Rock, they finished their set with \u201cClose My Eyes Forever\u201d and \u201cKiss Me Deadly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halestorm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It felt like an eternity waiting for the crew to finish setting up the stage for Halestorm\u2019s arrival and surely enough, the crowd roared with excitement as the overhead lights dimmed down. The first to appear was drummer (and birthday boy), Arejay Hale, sporting a leather jacket with the words \u201cINTO THE WILD LIFE\u201d spray painted on the back. He immediately kicked off the set, cuing the arrival of Lzzy Hale (vocals, guitars), Joe Hottinger (lead guitars), and Josh Smith (bass), with the quick and heavy drumbeats to \u201cSick Individual,\u201d and they continued with \u201cLove Bites (So Do I),\u201d \u201cApocalyptic,\u201d and \u201cScream.\u201d Halestorm slowed their set down with \u201cI Am the Fire,\u201d and quickened the pace again with \u201cIt\u2019s Not You,\u201d \u201cMz. Hyde,\u201d \u201cRock Show,\u201d and a killer performance of \u201cTakes My Life,\u201d a song they haven\u2019t played since 2010. After \u201cI Like It Heavy,\u201d \u201cShe Won\u2019t Mind,\u201d and \u201cAmen,\u201d Halestorm slowed the set down with \u201cDear Daughter\u201d and \u201cFamiliar Taste of Poison,\u201d then Arejay performed his highly energetic drum solo and the crowd cheered as he rapidly banged on his drums. The band then kept the party rolling with \u201cMayhem,\u201d \u201cI Get Off,\u201d ending the night on an explosive with \u201cFreak Like Me,\u201d \u201cHere\u2019s to Us,\u201d and \u201cI Miss the Misery.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, this was one of the most incredible shows I have witnessed in a really long time and the bands brought their game. Be sure to check out all of their future tour dates. They put on a show you do not want to miss!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
