I have never liked cover bands\/tribute bands, until I started attending Draw The Line shows. \u00a0I have developed a love for this niche of entertainment over the last couple of yeas. I’ve seen a few dozen DTL performances, have seen some great opening acts, and even sought after a few tribute shows on my own. This past Friday, I happen to be lucky enough to catch both Draw The Line and Appetite For Destruction.<\/p>\n

Now to your answer your question, why is the first picture I’m seeing of someones sneaker? \u00a0Because thats Axl Rose’s sneaker! No, not the real Axl, but Appetite For Destruction’s lead singer Rob Pfeffer. \u00a0The band did their very best to be the best GNR they could be. \u00a0Rob had the hair (which may or may not have been real), the short shorts, the sneakers and of course the voice. \u00a0There were a few things I would have changed about their look, but even if they had rolled on stage in Gun’s N’ Roses pajamas, they would have sounded the same, and they sounded great.<\/p>\n

Everything from this show was set in the era when Aerosmith toured with GNR, so Appetite played all the hits from the Appetite for Destruction album. \u00a0There were some huge songs off that album, including “My Michele”, “Nighttrain”, “Rocket Queen”, and “Sweet Child of Mine”.<\/p>\n

Honestly, if I didn’t look up at the stage, I would have sworn that my patch vest and I had been transported back into 1987 for some Gun’s N’ Roses magic.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
