A quiet night in March is a great time to spend a Paranormal Evening with Alice Cooper. <\/p>\n

While still promoting his recent release, Paranormal<\/i>, the show Alice and friends put on was similar to the performance we saw last summer<\/a> while touring with Deep Purple, but that’s not a bad thing.<\/p>\n

Edgar Winter Band<\/p><\/div>Just like last summer, the show was kicked off by the Edgar Winter Band. They managed to make 5 songs last their entire 45 minute set. After kicking off with “Freeride,” we saw some long jams, showcasing the full talent of all the members of the band, with the highlight, of course, being “Frankenstein.”<\/p>\n

No sooner had Edgar finished than a curtain went up surrounding the stage to prepare for Alice Cooper’s arrival. <\/p>\n

I’ve seen Alice around a half dozen times, opening for great bands like Iron Maiden, M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce, and of course last summer’s tour I’ve already mentioned, with Deep Purple. This was the first time I’ve seen him play a headlining show, and this arena was almost completely sold out!<\/p>\n

The set followed the same basic structure as last year’s show, but as the headliner, he was able to play much longer.<\/p>\n

The curtain dropped, sparks rained from the sky, and out came Alice Cooper and his band. The opening track, the title track from 2000’s Brutal Planet<\/i>, may seem like an odd choice, but it rocks hard, and shows off the talents of everyone in the band. Before you know it, the familiar riff of “No More Mr. Nice Guy” kicks in, and the show doesn’t let up from here on out.<\/p>\n

Any of the Alice Cooper hits you wanted to hear were in the show, from “Billion Dollar Babies” and “I’M Eighteen,” to “Feed my Frankenstein” and “School’s Out.” At 70 years old, Alice Cooper continues to put on one of the biggest and best shows in rock and roll.
