Smash Into Pieces

Smash Into Pieces

Smash Into Pieces name was nowhere to be found on the House of Blues website. The only clue there was someone playing other than In Flames and With Temptation was their little electronic drum kit that filled a lonely spot on the side of the stage.

The crowd was just barely filling in when the bands mascot, The Apocalypse DJ waltzed out, sat down and started playing. Dressed like Kylo Ren with a full mask that lit up and moved, he was mesmerizing.

This rest of this alternative rock band jumped out, ready to rock right after him. Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye, Benjamin Jennebo, and Per Bergquist from Sweden, played a solid set of songs. With four albums of material to choose from, they chose a few tracks that really meshed well. “Let me be Your Superhero” and “Boomerang” really got the crowd involved, along with a bit of crowd surfing/singing from Chris (who gave us all a chuckle when he asked for help from security to get back on stage, claiming he was “too fat” to do it himself).

Their sense of humor, talent and mild hypnosis to get you to their merch table made for a great experience. The next time their little drum kit’s on stage, don’t count the band out, just check them out!
