Slash Lands in Boston with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators – March 7, 2022

California-raised guitar master Slash set Boston on fire with some help from Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, as part of The River Is Rising Tour. The rainy weather was no obstacle on Monday night, as fans slowly trickled into a sold out House of Blues.

The powerful, all female band Plush was in charge of starting the evening off with a bang. Plush’s youthful, raw energy grabbed hold of the audience from the very beginning and it would not let go, with rock filled tracks like “Athena” and “Sober”, as well as a cover of Heart’s classic, “Barracuda”. It was a perfect set to get the crowd excited and ready for Slash.

The atmosphere was very distinctly rock & roll, with low lights and classics from AC/DC, Def Leppard and Black Sabbath blasting in the background. The packed House of Blues felt like a family affair, with an audience of all generations: from groups of friends to parents bringing their children, there was no question this was a passionate crowd.

The stage was set for Slash to take his spot and the instantly recognizable guitar sounds filled the room, accompanied by Myles Kennedy’s powerful voice. Taking no prisoners, the band kicks off with pure rock & roll tracks like “Driving Rain” and “Shots Fired”, showcasing the iconic riffs Slash has been known for since the early days on the Sunset Strip. The evening was jam packed with high energy, including several songs from their newest album, 4, such as “The River Is Rising”, as well as hits like ‘World on Fire’, with a few covers from Lenny Kravitz and Elton John for good measure.

From bursting into the scene in 1987 to sold out tours in 2022, Slash effortlessly proves time and time again that he is one of the most iconic guitar players of all time, a constant presence in rock & roll today and for generations to come. Make sure to experience the heat for yourself in a city near you.
