Xzibit at House of Blues Boston, MA – March 5, 2019.
Xzibit
Xzibit is an American rapper, actor, and broadcaster, born in Detroit, Michigan. His mother passed away when he was 10 and he moved in with his father, who had remarried and relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the age of 14 he started writing lyrics. He then found himself moving to Los Angeles to live with his sister, and decided to pursue a music career.
He has had much more than a music career. Xzibit has acted in movies, had successful tv shows and even raced in the Gumball 3000.
But tonight, he took the stage, with his puffy coat and gold chains and performed a really solid (but short) set. He mentioned that this was his first time performing in Boston since the Up In Smoke tour, which was 19 years ago! Honestly, until a few weeks ago, I didn’t know he still performed. Tonight he played hits that I forgot existed, including “Whats the difference” and “X”.
Although he did not play my personal favorite “Hey Now (Mean Muggin)”, it was still an enjoyable set that the crowd loved.
