Mxmtoon and Choloe Moriondo in Boston

Chloe Moriondo

Supporting mxmtoon’s Rising Tour, Chloe Moriondo kicked off the first of two nights at Boston’s Royale. Entering the stage with a beaming and contagious smile, Chloe started the show off with some of their best indie-rock and bedroom pop songs. Opening with their cheery song “Rly Don’t Care” an anthem about being unapologetically yourself. Chloe’s confidence radiated throughout the crowd as fans didn’t hesitate to dance and sing along.

Chloe proves time and time again how versatile their music style is, performing with an acoustic version of one of my personal favorites “Bodybag”. Their upbeat energy and melodic vocals also came in handy for their cover of “Linger” by The Cranberries. Chloe will be making a stop in Boston on their headlining tour at Paradise Rock Club in the fall.

Californian singer songwriter Maia, professionally known as mxmtoon, stopped in Boston for two nights of her “Rising” tour. She started her set off with her lofi-pop song “Falling for U.” With over 200 million streams, it’s no surprise that this was a crowd favorite for the night.

mxmtoon smoothly picks up speed by performing a few songs off of her newest album, Rising. She displayed her lively character the moment “sad disco” began to play. Her music has the perfect balance between sadness and bliss. It’s no wonder she was able to perform two nights here.
