Mushroomhead in Hampton Beach, NH – October 5, 2024
On a cool fall New England Saturday night, Mushroomhead made their second stop of their USA 2024 Tour at a sold-out Wally’s in Hampton Beach, NH. They had support from Upon A Burning Body, There Is No Us and Mind Incision. The night was full of band members standing right up to the barricade, and crowd surfers making sure to get up close and personal with their screaming fans. Upon A Burning Body’s bassist Thomas Alvarez even went into the crowd with his bass while a circle pit spun around him. It was quite a sight to see.
Mind Incision
Traveling from Denver, CO, Mind Incision’s second date on their 2-month tour brought them to Wally’s for the first time. Lead Vocalist Jason Neil brought attention to PTSD and Veterans in the song “Zero230.” Another highlight of their set was covering Korn’s “Blind.” Mind Incision is a very talented band of musicians that is sure to grab your attention the moment they take the stage.
There Is No Us
Jim Louvau is an award-winning photographer and videographer from Phoenix, AZ. He is also the lead singer of industrial-metal band There Is No Us. There was very intense lighting displayed on stage throughout the There Is No Us entire set. After having the attention of the crowd from start to finish, There Is No Us closed out their set covering Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name.”
Upon A Burning Body
Upon A Burning Body took the stage and let everyone know that they are representing San Antonio, TX. Lead singer Danny Leal engaged with the audience discussing his past battles with addiction. “Hands up for all our fallen friends.” He continued with, “If you’re struggling this song is for you.” Just before Upon A Burning Body played “Sin City,” Danny addressed the crowd and said, “Crowd surfers make your way to me.” It was great to see a band like Upon A Burning Body using their platform to both address mental health and keeping the crowd engaged for their entire set.
Mushroomhead
Starting their USA 2024 tour off with the second consecutive sellout, Mushroomhead opened their set with water drums at each side of the stage. During Mushroomhead’s set, a Rubik’s cube was passed from the stage to the sound booth. One of Mushroomhead’s crew members was tasked with solving it as quickly as he could. Both vocalists crowd surfed in front of the stage. Female vocalist Jackie LaPonza also got into the crowd and was standing tall with fans holding her up. Mushroomhead made sure to show some love to everyone that sold out Wally’s. “You guys don’t disappoint at all. Thank you so much for being here!” Who would have thought that for over 30 years, Steve “Skinny” Felton keeps fans wanting more and you never know what is going to happen when the show goes live.
