Boston Fleet vs Montreal Victoire at TD Garden – April 11, 2026
The Boston Fleet took on the Montreal Victoire for a historic night of women’s professional ice hockey. For the first time these teams played a PWHL game at the TD Garden. Boston Bruins legend, Zdeno Chara dropped the puck while sporting a Boston Fleet jersey, making the women feel welcome in the Bruins home arena before the game even began. The Fleet played in front of an impressive sold-out 17,850-person crowd. Both teams played fiercely, especially the goaltenders, who kept the game 0-0 throughout the first two periods of hockey. At 5:52 in the third period, Montreal forward, Lina Ljungblom, put away the lone goal of the game.
Although the Fleet fell 1-0 to the Victoire, it was a win overall for women’s hockey and it felt like the start of a new and fresh Boston/Montreal rivalry.
