Album Review
dangerkids
blacklist_
January 2017
Ohio’s rising rock band dangerkids has released their long awaited, 2nd full-length album, blacklist_ via Paid Vacation Records.
This monumental resurgence for dangerkids after a 4 year wait following the release of their debut record Collapse that left fans craving for new music. I for one, was counting down the days till the release. My love for dangerkids started 3 years after their album was released (You can read that review HERE) and hasn’t stopped since.
The band’s influences of post-hardcore, rap and electronic is still as strong as ever on this new album. Song’s like “Things Could Be Different,” “Kill Everything” are great. The stand out track, being the title track “blacklist”.
I am a little bit let down. The album is great, but not what I was hoping for. It didn’t grab my attention like the first album and I don’t feel the same desire to listen to it on repeat.
dangerkids are currently on “The End Is Here Tour” with Falling In Reverse, Motionless In White and Issues. Tickets for the tour are on sale now at http://theendisheretour.com/.
