Metallica
Louisville, KY
March 9, 2019
Coming up this weekend, Metallica brings their WorldWired tour to the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY. They are entering the final week of their North American arena tour, which started back in September. If you’ve never seen a Metallica arena show, there’s nothing like it. The band performs on a stage in the center of the arena floor, with a massive production backing them up.
They’re still touring in support of 2017’s Hardwired… To Self Destruct, so you can expect to hear several songs off that album. Personally, I’m hoping for “Dream No More,” which has been one of their less played songs on this tour. What do you want to hear?
In place of a traditional opening band, comedian Jim Breuer will be kicking off the night with his Metallica pre-party featuring jokes, stories, crowd interactions, and a peek backstage as the band prepares to hit the stage.
Following this show, the final two US dates are in Indianapolis on March 11, and Grand Rapids, MI on March 13. The band will then head to Europe for a stadium run, featuring support from Ghost.
