Jessie Reyez at House of Blues Boston – November 22nd, 2022

Boston was in for quite a night with Jessie Reyez in the city! This completely sold out show at the House of Blues wasn’t one to pass up. This great lineup included soon to be powerhouses Leila Day, Nija, and Reyez herself.

Leila Day

Leila Day was the first act of the night, her beautiful voice echoed through the crowd. She was hitting runs left and right. Fans were super interactive with Leila as she sang songs off of her album “Detour”. At the end of her set, she threw roses out into the crowd for fans to catch. I was lucky enough to meet her after the show and she was one of the most genuinely kind performers I’ve met.

Nija

Following Leila, R&B vocalist, producer, and songwriter Nija had had an excellent stage presence, with her energy radiated through the crowd. Fans were matching her energy as she danced across the stage. Performing songs from her album “Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You”, I could tell she gained a lot of fans this past Tuesday night.

Jessie Reyez

The crowds anticipation for Jessie Reyez grew soon after the support from Leila and Nija. Jessie entered the stage starting off strong with her song “MOOD” off of her newest album “YESSIE”. The lights created a silhouette of her before the first verse began. Fans screamed and cheered during the entire set, along with throwing bras on the stage which Jessie soon used as props for her performance! Following with one of her older songs “Shutter Island” fans went absolutely insane, it was one of the most jam packed and energy filled venues I’ve witnessed.

One of the many reasons I’d recommend a Jessie Reyez show is because of her powerful vocals. I was captivated by her raw talent along with her diverse discography. Reyez showcased songs from each project she has released. Not many artists put the amount of effort and range into their shows, Jessie teaches us how it should be done.
