Avenged Sevenfold Postpones Show in Chula Vista, California; Falling in Reverse Still Performs – October 7, 2023

Avenged Sevenfold made their return to Chula Vista five years later after having to cancel their show back in 2018, only to unfortunately have to postpone once again at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre due to lead singer M. Shadows falling ill. Their support Kim Dracula and Falling in Reverse did take the stage to perform before the show got postponed minutes before Avenged was set to take the stage.

Kim Dracula

Kim Dracula opened the night with his song “A Gradual Decline in Morale”. He captivated the crowd with his performance, embracing every inch of the stage, and even smashing a few microphone stands and bringing out a chainsaw in the process. Kim Dracula closed out the set with one of his hit songs “Land of the Sun”, the crowd was loving every minute and cheered him on as they were getting excited for what’s to come.

Falling in Reverse

Falling in Reverse took the stage and truly took the crowd by storm with an insane performance! Front man/Lead singer Ronnie Radke got onto to his riser at the front of the stage and opened with their hit, the title of their last album, Zombified, which made the crowd go wild. This energy kept up for their entire performance, with songs like “I’m Not a Vampire,” and “Watch the World Burn.” Ronnie thanked the Chula Vista crowd for their insane energy and ended the night with his hit song “Popular Monster”.

Avenged Sevenfold

Minutes before Avenged Sevenfold was set to take stage, we learned that front man M. Shadows had fallen ill, and would not be able to perform. To say fans were disappointed/upset would be an understatement. Five years prior to this past Saturday, Avenged was set to have a show at the same venue, but unfortunately had to cancel the show, so this now marks the second show in Chula Vista that they’ve had to cancel. M. Shadows did announce that the show would be rescheduled again, and all ticket sales would be honored at the new date.
