Summer Of Loud tour in Mansfield – July 22, 2025
One of the heaviest tours of the summer, The Summer Of Loud Tour, rolled into the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. Featuring eight powerful bands – Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, I Prevail, Beartooth, The Devil Wears Prada, The Amity Affliction, Alpha Wolf and Dark Divine – this was a night unlike any other.
The show started sharply at 3pm, and music continued until nearly 11pm, with a mere 15-20 minute gap in between each band. The first four bands, Dark Devine, Alpha Wolf, The Amity Affliction and The Devil Wears Prada each got the crowd fired up in their own way. The final four co-headlining bands turned that summer heat up even higher, both figuratively, with the power that each band brought, as well as literally, with a pyro-filled production.
Shortly before the show began, the world learned of the tragic passing of the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. All of the bands took a moment out of their set to remember and honor this icon, as none of us would be here tonight, if it wasn’t for the path he blazed. In many ways, Ozzfest set the stage for a night like tonight to even occur.
As the tour plays in each city, these final four bands rotate who plays first and last each night. After sets from Beartooth, I Prevail, and Parkway Drive, tonight’s show was capped off by Killswitch Engage. Killswitch has played at Xfinity Center over a half dozen times in the past two decades – Ozzfests, Mayhem Fests, Knotfests, etc – but it was certainly an exciting night for the Massachusetts band to be the final act of the night in this iconic New England summer venue.
