Pantera in Massachusetts – August 2, 2025

One year ago to the day, the new era of Pantera performed in Massachusetts for the first time. With frontman Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown joined by Anthrax’s Charlie Benante on drums, and the legendary Zakk Wylde on guitar, this quartet opened up for Metallica at Gillette Stadium. Paying tribute to the legacy that Pantera created, honoring the memory of Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott, the band has returned on a headlining tour. Joining them as they came to Xfinity Center in Mansfield were everyone’s favorite band of vikings, Amon Amarth, as well as Australian grindcore band King Parrot.
