We The Kings

It took so long to get through the entrance that we missed most of We The Kings.  They are an American Rock band from Bradenton, FL, and no stranger to the Vans Warped Tour.  They played in both 2013, and 2014, which also explains why the crowd was so massive! We made it near the stage just as they started to play their last song of the set.  “Check Yes Juliet” began, and a giant roar from the crowd let the band know this is what they had been waiting for!

Ice Nine Kills

Ice Nine Kills is a pop punk, post hardcore, American metalcore band.  They have horror inspired lyrics, and an absolutely killer sound. Spencer Charnas started the band in 2006 in the Boston, MA area, and is the only original member.  His current band mates are Justin DeBlieck, Justin Morrow and Conor Sullivan. Although they may not have the same line up as they started with, they were amazing.  Spencer had a deep, strong voice, and his stage presence was the same. The occasional slit throat hand gestures also added a little something to his performance.  Everything about Ice Nine Kills was intense, from their name all the way down to the drum beat that made your heart stop.

Young Guns

We saw a group of 5 guys from the UK perform.  No, it wasn’t One Direction.  It was the talented English alternative rock band, Young Guns.  The guys, Gustav Wood, Fraser Taylor, John Taylor, Simon Mitchell and Chris Kamrada came all the way from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire to show us how they do it on the other side of the pond.  The crowd loved them! They were crowd surfing and singing a long. You may know them from there 2013 hit “Bones” as being one of the theme songs from”Wrestle mania 29″, but they are so much more than that! Their next album, “Echoes” is due out Sept 16, 2016.  We highly recommend checking out the old material, and we look forward to checking out the new songs!
