Terror Con
RI Convention Center
Providence, RI
February 25 & 26
This years Terror Con was amazing! There was fright around every corner, from scary products to panels, celebrities and more.
There were a wide range of vendors selling horror (and non horror) toys, video games, books and collectibles. Some of our favorite things were the handmade, one of a kind items. We spoke with Ian The Gnome about this amazing hand painted gnomes (view his store here), we saw Terri from TerriDragon (see her items here), and learned all about removable custom Fangs by the Jack Fangsmith. He also makes the creepiest teddy bears, that are cute, in a sick and twisted type of way. Check his stuff out here.
We got caught up in checking out vendors, so we didn’t get to as many panels as we wanted during the weekend. We did manage to peak into the Walking Dead, and listen to Bill Diamond’s panel, Chris Sarandon (Jack Skellington) and Ken Page’s (Oogie Boogie) Nightmare Before Christmas Panel, as well as Malcolm McDowell’s panel (A Clockwork Orange). The set up was great, and the moderators did a really great job keeping the information and conversation flowing.
The most enjoyable part of the day was speaking with the different cosplayers. There was some very intricate constumes, and some homemade costumes. We spoke with a zombie, but not for long because she was hungry for brains. We met zombie stormtroopers, Minecraft dragons, pig chefs and more.
Although this convention is smaller than I expected it to be, there was a lot to see and do, and I look forward to seeing more next year!
