Dashboard Confessional and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness in Pittsburgh, PA – August 16, 2022
Dashboard Confessional and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness teamed up for their Hello Gone Days 2022 Summer co-headlining tour, bringing a night of punk and emo to the Stage AE in Pittsburgh.
Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness
The acts have alternated between the headlining spot throughout the tour, with Andrew McMahon starting the show in Pittsburgh. Well-known as the frontman from the bands Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, Andrew performed a set of mostly older songs from his previous bands. He also performed his new song, “Stars,” which was coincidentally released later that night. He gave the crowd a surprise treat with a full performance of “Konstantine,” which he usually only performs at the annual Dear Jack benefit concert. The show also featured Andrew riding an inflatable llama through the crowd, and running around the lawn section with a rainbow light-up cape, which the crowd certainly enjoyed.
Dashboard Confessional
Chris Carrabba, frontman for Dashboard Confessional, took the stage solo to perform “The Brilliant Dance,” before being joined by the rest of the band for the rest of the set. Similar to Andrew’s set, their set was dominated by older songs, pleasing the older crowd looking for deeper cuts. They also performed a cover of “Just Like Heaven,” by The Cure before finishing up with their two classics, “Vindicated,” and “Hands Down.”
Their tour continues to the south and west-coast over the next few weeks.
