Daniel Seavey in Boston – April 12, 2025

Daniel Seavey’s Got It Going On: Second Wind Tour Boston

April 12, 2025 at Big Night Live

Daniel Seavey brought his “Second Wind” tour to Big Night Live this past Saturday night, showcasing his very impressive instrumental talents and engaging stage presence. The 26 year old performer, promoting his newest album released just over a month ago, delivered a very high energy show that kept fans entertained throughout the night.

A highlight of Seavey’s performances on this tour is his unique segment where he loops a fan chosen song each night, regardless of his familiarity with it. Boston’s song selection was “Stacy’s Mom,” which he impressively performed by ear on cello, keyboard, bass, guitar, drums, AND vocals. Despite not being fully familiar with the track, Seavey managed to nail the performance while reading lyrics from a phone, demonstrating his musical versatility.

My personal standout song of the night was “You Let Me Down,” which featured enthusiastic crowd participation. Throughout the show, Seavey maintained strong interaction with his audience, creating an intimate atmosphere despite the venue’s size. Definitely a show to remember!

The evening began with the first act of the night, kylekelly, who immediately captured the crowd’s attention with his upbeat pop-punk-esque sound and charismatic stage presence. His set included a memorable cover of Katy Perry’s “Hot and Cold” and featured a fun moment where he invited fans to participate in his BeReal post. He closed his performance by blending Sixpence None The Richer’s “Kiss Me” with his original song “my little <3,” showcasing both his musical creativity and vocal talent. His catchy songs and engaging personality certainly won over new fans in the audience, myself included.

Following kylekelly was sombr, an alternative/indie artist who’s been steadily building a fan base over the years and is now gaining wider recognition. His set featured his viral single “undressed,” which had fans singing along to every word, along with some unreleased material that was well received and even sung by some of the audience.

Overall, Second Wind Tour in Boston was an awesome showcase of not only Daniel Seavey’s unbelievable talents but also introduced the audience to two phenomenal supporting acts in kylekelly and sombr, making it a very enjoyable concert experience.
