Rod Stewart at Mohegan Sun – March 13, 2026

Friday night at Mohegan Sun, in a sold out arena, the lights go down, and the sound of bagpipes being played comes over the PA. As the curtain raises up, we find the iconic Sir Rod Stewart standing center stage, with about a half dozen women surrounding him. If the women wearing black pant suits, while playing white instruments with white guitar straps evokes memories of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love” video, that’s no mistake, as Rod kicked off the night performing the song of his fallen friend. He followed up with one of Rod’s own classic hits, “You Wear it Well,” as the rest of his band joined him on stage.

Tonight’s performance is part of Rod’s “One Last Time” tour. Rod has been a staple at Mohegan Sun, with more than a dozen performances in the arena over the past twenty years. Unless his plans change, this will be his final performance at the arena, as he phases out of touring. That’s not to say he’s retiring, but he’ll be focusing on his Las Vegas residency. If this is his last time in New England, we’re going to enjoy it!

At 81 years old, Rod refuses to act his age. His moves are unmatched, remaining in constant motion throughout the night. He started the night in a silver pin striped suit with a half-unbuttoned white ruffled shirt underneath, and his outfits, which he changed multiple times throughout the night, only got louder.

With songs like “Hot Legs” and “Forever Young,” the crowd was singing along to Rod’s every word. When it came time for his chart-topping hit, “Maggie May,” he sang the first verse softly, being backed by just the keyboard. The crowd erupted as they realized what song it was, and the band came crashing in on the second verse.

A special treat for die-hard fans was a performance of “Mandolin Wind,” off of Every Picture Tells a Story, which they had dug back into the archives to perform – Rod said he was pretty sure he’d never played it here. As the night continued, Rod played more of his countless hits, like “Some Guys Have all the Luck,” and “Have I Told you Lately.” As they kicked into “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” Rod and the girls launched dozens of signed soccer balls out into the audience, making sure everybody was up on their feet and dancing as the show came to an end. The curtain fell and the band left the stage, before returning for an encore of “Love Train” and “The First Cut is the Deepest.”

If this was the final time Rod performs in New England, it was certainly a night to remember!
