Rhode Island Air Show
Quonset Point, RI
June 9-10, 2018

This weekend is the 2018 Rhode Island National Guard Open House Air Show! Taking place at Quonset Point, this annual show has FREE ADMISSION!

I was invited to attend the media preview day on Friday, and got a look at many of the performers in store for the weekend. From jump teams to skytypers, from WWII-era planes to the latest and greatest, this show has a lot to offer!

Returning, once again, is fan favorite Sean D. Tucker, in his Team Oracle biplane. This is Sean’s final year performing solo, and will be running a team in future years.

The USAF Heritage Flight saw an F-16 fighter performing alongside the newest fighter our military has to offer, the F-35! Both planes are an amazing display, and to see them together is incredible.

Of course the headliners of the show are the US Navy Blue Angels! They never cease to amaze, as they pull off stunts with a distance of only 18 inches between the planes.

One of the things I’m looking forward to seeing this weekend, that we did not get to see on media day, is the Shockwave Jet Truck! Watch this truck, capable of speeds of nearly 400mph, barrel down the runway in seconds flat!

The Rhode Island Air Show is always a great event, and the weather looks awesome this weekend. Don’t forget that this is a FREE show!
