The Trinity of Terror comes to Portland, ME – April 14, 2022

The nautical streets of Portland, Maine were lined with patrons of the Cross Insurance Arena, decked out in Tripp pants and Demonias, waiting patiently for the doors to open for the 22nd stop of the Trinity of Terror Tour. Not just one, but three heavy metal headliners and a powerhouse opener shook the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland on Thursday, April 14th 2022.

While to some a triple headlining tour can be intimidating, the heavy metal bands Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, and Motionless In White kept the energy high throughout the night with completely unique and full-production sets.

Lilith Czar

If you are considering attending one of the remaining stops ,or debating on attending the upcoming Three Days Grace or Halestorm tours, you absolutely must go to see Lilith Czar. Rebranded from her original name – Juliet Simms – the King herself Lilith Czar emerged in 2021 with the album From Filth and Dust. Attending the show you’d hear an array of her songs, such as “Anarchy,” “Feed My Chaos” and a cover of the Stevie Nicks’ song “Edge of Seventeen.” Before filling the arena with her women-empowerment anthem, “King,” Lilith Czar gave a speech to every woman in the building. Instantly, I knew I had became a fan of her’s. The way she carries herself on stage, her interactions with her audience and fans, and the way she had amazing chemistry with her bandmates is something that is most admirable. I really look forward to her future endeavors in the music industry. Make sure to catch Lilith Czar on tour when she comes through the New England area again!

Ice Nine Kills

I have to hand it to Ice Nine Kills, they put on an absolute hell of a performance. They were the first of the headlining trio to perform, and they definitely got the crowd excited for the remaining bands. You forget you’re watching a band perform, and get caught up in watching an arrangement of horror movies with spectacular theatrical effects. Lead Vocalist, Spencer Charnas definitely had not let his performance skills go to waste, as he had been casted for lead roles in two movies – The Retaliators and The Dark Offerings – in 2021. Charnas is constantly jumping around, throwing heads, slashin’ heads, you name it– he’s more than likely doing it! The band played their hit songs, such as “Welcome to Horrorwood,” “Stabbing in the Dark,” and “The American Nightmare.” Even if you’re not a fan of Ice Nine Kills– or should I say agree with the lyrics in their song “Hip to Be Scared”– you’d quickly change your mind after seeing the absolute killer performance they put on.

Black Veil Brides

Following the spectacular performance that Ice Nine Kills put on, the Hollywood rock band Black Veil Brides started their set with “Faithless”. The band’s lead vocalist, Andy Biersack, who is also married to the supporting musician Lilith Czar, sung many Black Veil Brides hits such as “Shadows Die,” “The Legacy,” and “Knives and Pens.” Every song had a unique set of graphics that adorned their set up, which made fans eager for whichever song would follow.

Motionless in White

Closing the night, Motionless in White led their set with “Disguise,” as their lead vocalist, Chris Motionless, brought high energy and raw vocals. Motionless in White fans were pleased to hear many of their songs such as “Thoughts & Prayers,” “Another Life,” and a cover of the The Killers’ hit song “Somebody Told Me.” The band also played one of their newer songs, “Cyberhex,” which will be debuting on their new album Scoring The End of the World. You can pre-order their new album now which will be dropping on June 10th, 2022.

Be sure to catch the Trinity of Terror Tour on their few last remaining stops!
