Amazingly, Korn has been rocking for over twenty years! To celebrate this anniversary, they are playing smaller venues, and they are playing their first album in its entirety.

Korn
Korn’s self-titled album was released in October of 1994, and last year they started celebrating by performing the album in its entirety. Korn opted to play the album only on European festivals, and when we saw them in December, playing with Slipknot, they did not perform it. The reason they refrained from playing it was that casual Korn fans, like fans who could have been there to see Slipknot, aren’t going to be too familiar with the album, with the obvious exception of “Blind.”Korn wanted to give the U.S. fans who want to hear this album a chance, so rather than playing full sized shows, they are playing smaller clubs. Tonight the House of Blues was completely sold out!
While I’ve been a Korn fan for a long time, I’ve never really connected with the first album, so this setlist definitely was not crafted for me. That said, the band was tight, and all the material was well represented. The fans who were here that have been fans since the beginning went absolutely insane for many of these songs. It may not have been my favorite Korn show I’ve ever seen, but for many people, it was!
